Hey Folks,
Included in the posts below are links to various archival items relating to the Tobin and Trask families. I ran across these photos and clippings at our cabin in Rock Creek Lake and noticed they were beginning to deteriorate. I'm sure many of you have seen them in their original condition. For the sake of posterity, I decided to digitize them so they can be enjoyed for generations to come. Most likely by future generations who could care less since none of these people are on Facebook.
Anyway, I found these about two years ago, and I'm just getting around to scanning these things in. My goal isn't to become the official family archivist. When you have a wife who is 8 months pregnant, you tend to spend a lot of Saturday nights at home. As a result, this is the sort of thing I end up doing. With that being said, if any of you have old documents you would like to share, email them to me and I can post them. Better yet, I can provide you access to this blog and you can post them yourselves.
As generations move on, I believe it is important to retain their legacies. I encourage everyone to take steps in this endevour by documenting our history in formats that don't deteriorate and can be massed produced and distributed for all to enjoy.
Thanks,Nate Tobin

Nate,or should I address you as Mr. Jennifer Tobin?, great job! Mrs. Frank Trask's first name was Cora, she was indeed your great grandmother, a wonderful, loving person. I have seen these articles but tis fun to see them online! All the Delta girls called Mrs. so and so with no mention of their first names - guess "we've come a long way baby". When is your baby due?
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing this.
Baby is due January 30th!
